Multi Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
Multi-Tiered System of Supports The Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) model will be utilized in this district to meet the demands of educational reform and increase student success. The basic components of this model are: High quality, research-based instruction and behavioral support in general education at the school, grade, classroom, and individual levels Universal screening of academics and behavior in order to determine which students need closer monitoring or additional interventions Organizing the remedial services into tiers of increasing intensity using research-based interventions that are matched to student need Use of collaborative, problem solving approach by school staff for development, implementation, and monitoring of the intervention process Continuous progress monitoring to gather enough information to determine what is working to meet student goals Follow-up measures providing information that the interventions were implemented with fidelity Documentation of parent involvement throughout the process

EXCEPTIONAL STUDENT EDUCATION PARENT SURVEY
Exceptional Student Education Parent Survey
Each year, the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) conducts a survey designed to provide FDOE and the United States Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), with information on how well Florida’s schools are partnering with parents and promoting parent involvement in their child's education. The survey is open to all parents of children with an individual educational plan (IEP) receiving ESE services from preschool age through grade 12 and is not intended for parents of students receiving only gifted services through an educational plan (EP). All states must collect this data as part of their State Performance Plan, as required under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
2022-2023 ESE Parent Survey
The 2022-2023 ESE Parent Survey is open beginning March 22, 2023, and will close on June 30, 2023. The survey can be completed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ESEParentSurvey.
Parent Survey Results
Survey results are reported to OSEP as part of Florida’s Annual Performance Report State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report (SPP/APR). Information about response rate and “met standard” for each district can be found in the local educational agency (LEA) profiles. For further information regarding the LEA APR's and to view these reports, please visit the Program Accountability, Assessment, and Data Systems webpage.
